East Carson River Hot Springs

Two pools right by the side of the river and flowing into them. The source waters are at 120F, cooling down to 108F in the smaller upper pool which then feeds into the lower one before spilling over rock into the river.
The river is a popular white water rafter's choice and the springs are frequented by them on their trips. Access otherwise requires a 4W drive or hiking in.
Directions: Access is by way of a 'jeep' trail just past Hangman's Bridge near Markleeville, CA, apporaching the springs from the south over the mountains. I have a GPX file of the route available if you ask.
