In 1985, after much trial and tribulation, the Kiser family finally produced a Florida wine. Today, the Eden Vineyards and Winery is the southernmost bonded winery in the United States. There are six homegrown wines, including Alva Rouge and Alva White. Prices range from USD8.95 to USD10.95 for 750 ml bottles. The winery is open to visitors for tasting and sales, and is located in Alva, 10 miles east of Fort Myers. The entrance is 400 feet down Little Lane; watch for the green sign with the arrow. The quality of the wine is debateable, but makes a good souviner/talking point.
