Perfectly nestled at the Canadian Rocky Mountains’ Lizard Range, Fernie Alpine Resort is a known ski resort that has been receiving high annual snowfall of 28.71 feet, the highest so far in any of the resorts in the Rockies. The resort offers 112 different trails being serviced by 10 lifts in its 2,500 skiable acres. Both the locals and guest skiers enjoy taking the challenge of the resort’s steep and deep 2,812 feet vertical drop. This skier/boarder haven is all about powder snow, massive rock picturesque backdrop, comfortable accommodations, and the perfectly knitted winter activities for all ages and skill levels.

The resort is just a five-minute ride from the Cranbrook Airport that takes regular flights to Vancouver. Guests are provided with lodging options depending on the budget. Hotels and apartments however are situated near the slopes while the chalets are further down the mountain.
