The building on the corner was built by Arthur Frost in 1930. He lived in Cobblers Cottage further up Church Lane. He carried out cycle repairs. It is first recorded as such in the 1931 Directory. After WW2 it became a hardware shop run by his son Alec. It closed in the late 20th century.
