The Greenwood FFA Living to Serve-Learning to Grow project involved the creation of a community garden on a ½ acre plot of land donated by the County Fair Commission. Because of its central location, two other FFA Chapters (New Port FFA - Natalie Barkley, FFA Advisor; West Perry FFA - Mike Woods, FFA Advisor) participated in the project. All three schools’ agriculture students grew produce in the garden and donated 75% of the harvest to a local food pantry which serves all three school districts.
