Handbags stolen, Cairns City

Police are reminding shoppers to keep handbags, wallets and other valuables in their physical possession at all times after handbags were stolen in two separate incidences at Cairns Central Shopping Centre yesterday. One handbag was stolen from a stroller and the second was stolen from a shopping trolley at separate locations at the centre. In both incidences the victims turned away momentarily to attend to shopping when the handbags were stolen. Police investigations are continuing.
