Heritage Garden of Horticultural Art Society of CS
Category: Gardens
The Hertitage Garden is a block to the north directly behind the 1904 Van Briggle Pottery Building on Glen Avenue. In its re-design it is a formal xeric garden with low to very low water use throughout. Its organizing point is a magnificent American elm surrounded by a grassed ellipse. At the north end is a Plant Select Garden featuring appropriate plants introduced by CSU/ Denver Botanic Gardens, a Terrace Garden and a Grass Garden.
At the south end are steel arbors produced by the AV class at Pikes Peak Community College, and a bricked Thyme Garden. There is a beautiful new gazebo, 2008
