A 43-year-old North Cairns man was arrested and charged with drink driving after police intercepted the man driving on McCormack street on Wednesday afternoon. The man allegedly returned a breath alcohol reading of .279%. He has been charged with driving a motor vehicle whilst under the influence of liquor and is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on June 3.
