This historic antebellum home was built in 1836 by Spencer Stewart Marsh. Union troops occupied the house after the Marsh family moved to Cassville during the Civil War. The Marshes returned to find the downstairs hall blood-soaked and marked with hoof prints. The house remained in the family for more than 150 years.
