The Hollywood Theatre was built in 1926 and is owned and operated by the nonprofit Film Action Oregon. It has three auditoriums that show independent films daily. An architectural landmark and community treasure (the building named the surrounding neighborhood), more than 100 special events occur there each year. The Hollywood is recognized by The Sundance Institute as one of 18 cinemas in the country to be part of its "Art House Project."
