A 23-year-old Clifton Beach man was charged with public nuisance after creating a disturbance outside a nightclub on Lake Street at around 2.30am on Saturday. When arresting the man police allegedly found an illegal firecracker in his pocket. He is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on February 2 charged with committing a public nuisance and possession of a professional grade explosive.
