Intersection needs help, please!

Category: 2. Difficult intersection to navigate by bike

Going South to North here is dicey. Especially the merge lane from 7 onto International. Drivers aren't looking for cyclists, and there is no bike lane-age for us to use so we have to hug the curb, use the sidewalk, etc. BTW, any commuter cyclist can tell you that often, using the sidewalk is more dangerous than riding in traffic. You have to be so careful at every intersection, driveway entrance, etc. because drivers don't stop at the sidewalk, they stop at the street.
