TIME OUT NEW YORK Review:

When it was the Forest Hills Inn decades ago, the building that now houses Jade Eatery & Lounge hosted John McEnroe, Jimmy Connors and Björn Borg. Now it’s a slick Pan-Asian venue with votive candles, silver walls and a reflecting pool. The bar and restaurant function as a little bit of everything: sushi bar, art gallery, Moroccan lounge, nightclub and party space. Sushi chef Anson Chou, who honed his skills at the Four Seasons Shanghai, takes some welcome liberties with the classics: His sushi pizza, an eight-wedge pie of firmly fried rice, comes topped with spicy tuna, salmon and crunchy bits of tempura. Come summer, you can order drinks and small plates inside the oak-shaded garden. All it’s missing is a tennis court.
