Statue of James Lumsden. James Lumsden (1778-1856) was Lord Provost of Glasgow from 1843-46. This bronze figure shows Lumsden in a traditional pose of dignified calm, with a pair of eyeglasses in his hand, and a bundle of papers - he was also a stationer.
