Statue of James White, Cathedral Precinct.

James White Of Overtoun died in 1884, and this bronze statue of him was completed in 1890. It was begun by John Mossman, but completed by the sculptor Frank Leslie. White was a chemical manufacturer from Rutherglen, but he was also a generous man who contributed money towards the cost of a Christian Institute in Glasgow (now demolished).
