The Johnson County FFA Living to Serve Project provided assistance to flood victims throughout the county. Members participated in tasks such as internal and external painting; door, window, cabinet; drywall installation; placing siding, shingles, and gutters; doing home flood proofing; and planting trees, flowers, and shrubbery. A second part of the economic re-development efforts drew upon the experience and expertise of chapter and community members and business leaders to provide one-on-one assistance to recipients on economic development.
