Rock-walled, wide, deep and hot with a semi-soft sand and rock bottom featuring the occasional bit of algae - 2 benches and a concrete slab adjoin the large pool.
This spring is listed as a warm spring in all the USGS listings but guess what . . . it's a blistering 108 to 115F and that is a hot soak.
Juntura HS is located on a small island in the middle of the river, a river that is shallow enough to wade across, often freezes in winter.
Winter (or the late autumn or early springs months are when this hot spring would be best. The rest of the year is just too hot to soak in this spring.
