Description: Evans "Buddy" King concentrates his practice in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, banking, workouts and commercial litigation. Mr. King's experience includes serving as lead counsel in numerous mergers and acquisitions and commercial lending transactions. He serves as General Counsel to the firm, as well as on several of its major committees.

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

Represents the owner and publisher of 40 daily newspapers and numerous other publications in 11 states, including representation in the acquisition of approximately ½ of the company’s publications, including, most recently, a multi-million dollar acquisition of the controlling interest in the joint operating agreement for Fort Wayne Newspapers
Represents numerous banks, including Fortune 500 corporations, in lending transactions and workouts
Represents the majority owner of a major league baseball franchise in various aspects of the ownership interest
Represented the purchaser in a multi-million dollar merger transaction in which the client acquired the number one rated mountain resort in the mid-Atlantic region and Pennsylvania’s largest ski and four-season resort
Represented major ski resort in the purchase of the assets of a state park ski area and negotiation of lease agreement with state to allow park to reopen ski area in Pennsylvania
Represented sellers of federal government contracting business in high eight-figure merger transaction
Represented shareholders of regional department store chain in sale to major national department store chain
