Kitanomaru Park is located next to Tokyo Imperial Palace East Gardens in central Tokyo. Walking through Kitanomaru Park is a pleasant and convenient way to get to Yasukuni Shrine. Kitanomaru Park features cherry blossom in late March and early April. Kitanomaru Park also houses the Nihon Budokan, which regularly stages martial arts competitions.
