I'm reminded of orca whale sightings:

In 2001, Orca whales were sighted south of Campobello Island and around Grand Manan. Again in 2006, an orca was spotted off Grand Manan.

Thanks Bob: The sketch is one I did to illustrate a sighting at Grand Manan many years ago. I will be trying to dig up this information too. Killers whales are spectacular beasts!
