Large quantities of electrical equipment stolen, Cairns City

Cairns detectives are investigating the theft of valuable electrical equipment from a Sheridan Street business late on Sunday night. Unknown offender/s forced entry to the building before damaging store and security fittings. The offender/s also gained entry to other businesses located inside the building where further property was allegedly stolen. Detectives believe that the offender/s were selective in the kind of property that was stolen and that due to the large quantity it is likely that a vehicle was used. Detectives are asking members of the community to report suspicious sales of television and stereo equipment.
