A 20-year-old Bentley Park woman is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court later this month following a two vehicle traffic crash at Edmonton on Wednesday night. Police were called to the incident at the intersection of Ravizza Drive and Hancock Street at about 7pm. It is alleged that the woman, who was the holder of a learner driver permit, returned a breath alcohol reading of .048%. She was charged with drink driving as well as driving unaccompanied on a learner permit. Neither the woman nor the 71-year-old driver of the second vehicle was injured as a result of the crash.
