A 25-year-old Darnley Island man was charged with drink driving (UIL) and driving unaccompanied on a learner’s permit after a two vehicle crash on Saturday. No one was seriously injured in the crash which occurred shortly before midday at the intersection of Mulgrave Road and Aumuller Street, Westcourt. The man allegedly returned a breath alcohol reading of .157 per cent and is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on April 14.
