Founded in 2004, and registered as a non-profit distributing company in October 2005, Golygfa Gwydyr is a community-led social, environmental, and arts initiative.

From our community building in Llanrwst and our Caerdroia Site in the Gwydyr Forest, we run events, courses, volunteer opportunities, drop-in sessions, and clubs which address the vital links between the local community, economy and environment, as well as personal health and wellbeing.

Our projects aim to tackle the problems associated with social, economic, and rural isolation, and to encourage life-long and intergenerational learning, and the development of personal attributes such as communication, team work, self-reliance, self-expression, responsibility, resilience, mindfulness, tenacity, confidence, motivation and commitment which make for a strong, sustainable community.
