Description: MacDill Park on the Riverwalk is 3/4 of an acre park along the Hillsborough River in the heart of downtown Tampa that honors the contribution MacDill AFB has made to the community. The park includes 225 linear feet of riverwalk and is one of four parks along Tampa's Riverwalk.
This park would not have been possible if not for the Florida Communities Trust (FCT) Grant Program. The City was able to purchase the land through this state land acquisition grant program that provides funding to local governments for acquisition of community-based parks, open space and greenways.
MacDill Park on the Riverwalk has been adopted by its neighbor, the Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk Hotel. The Adopt-a-Park Program is administered by the Mayor’s Beautification Program. For more information on adopting a park or right of way, please visit www.mbptree.org or call 813-221-8733.
