Directions from Macon County (Franklin) Airport to Highlands
Start out going EAST on Airport Road toward NC-1380. Then turn RIGHT onto NC-28 / Bryson City Road. Continue to follow NC-28. Turn LEFT onto Porter Street. Turn LEFT onto E Palmer Street. Continue to follow to traffic light in front of Hardees (on left) about 3rd light. Turn RIGHT – this is the Highlands Road. Go straight under overpass – keep straight about 18 miles up to Highlands.
