A 32-year-old Manunda man was arrested and charged yesterday morning following a disturbance at a suburban shopping centre. Police were called to the Mulgrave Road complex at about 9am after the man had allegedly assaulted a shopping centre security guard. He was taken into custody after a short scuffle and charged with serious assault; assaulting police and committing a public nuisance offence. He is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on May 27.
