Detectives arrested and charged a 22-year-old Edmonton man yesterday in relation to the alleged attempted armed robbery of an Edmonton service station on July 8. It is alleged a man entered the Bruce Highway business around 6pm and demanded money whilst armed with a knife. He fled empty handed and no one was injured. The man was charged with one count of attempted armed robbery and is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on August 20.
