Man arrested over Bungalow burglary

Cairns Detectives have arrested a 24-year-old Westcourt man in connection with a burglary offence that allegedly occurred at a McCoombe Street unit on Monday night. It is alleged that the offender entered the unit at about 10pm before being disturbed by the resident and fleeing the scene. Detectives charged the man with entering a dwelling with intent, as well as possession of suspected stolen property. He is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court later today.
