A 27-year-old Cairns man was arrested in the CBD yesterday after he allegedly damaged a cab at the Lake Street taxi rank. It is alleged the man approached the cab at about 3.30pm and was declined by the driver due to having no funds to cover the fare. The man then allegedly punched the window of the cab before smashing the side mirror. He is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on January 7.
