A 50-year-old Gordonvale man will appear in court today after he was charged yesterday over the serious assault of a 22-year-old Yarrabah woman. The man allegedly assaulted the woman a number of times before stabbing her with a broken rake handle. The man was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm and wounding.
