Man caught driving unregistered vehicle, Cairns North

A 31-year-old Cairns North man is scheduled to appear at the Cairns Magistrates Court on October 13 charged with driving an unregistered vehicle, driving an uninsured vehicle and driving a vehicle with cancelled plates after he was intercepted by police on Sheridan Street around 11.00 yesterday morning. Police wish to inform motorists that they have the facilities to quickly check whether or not a vehicle is correctly registered and that breaches relating to the registration of vehicles can involve serious penalties and impoundment of the vehicle.
