A 24-year-old Manoora man has been charged after he allegedly gained entry to a Little Street residence and assaulted the occupier before stealing property around 11.00 last night. The man allegedly punched the victim several times to the back of the head before fleeing; he was located a short time later and arrested by police. The man was charged with entering a dwelling with intent, common assault and stealing from the person. He is scheduled to appear at the Cairns Magistrates Court today.
