Man charged over CBD restaurant break-in

A 33-year-old Cairns man was arrested early this morning following a break and enter offence at an Esplanade restaurant. It is alleged the man opened a side window of the premise before reaching inside and throwing a number of items onto the floor of the building as well as the outside footpath area. Police subsequently located and arrested the man in City Place. He was charged with entering premises with intent and is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on June 16. QP1100473769
