Man charged over damage to shop window, Gordonvale

A 22-year-old Gordonvale man was charged on Monday night following the alleged destruction of a Norman Street store window. Police allege the man kicked at the window after exiting the store at about 7pm. It is also alleged that police attended the man’s residence shortly after the incident and he kicked at officers whilst being taken into custody. He was charged with wilful damage as well as obstructing police and is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on February 28.
