Detectives have charged a 22-year-old Bungalow man following an investigation into the assault of a 14-year-old girl in Spence Street in the city on January 30. The girl suffered bruising and soreness as a result of the assault. The man was charged on Friday with assault occasioning bodily harm whilst in company, common assault and possession of a dangerous drug. He is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on March 15.
