Detectives from the Cairns Property Crime Squad charged a 19-year-old Mooroobool man on Sunday following an investigation into several offences committed in the local area this year. He was charged over the unlawful use of a motor vehicle which was allegedly stolen from a Cochrane Street residence on November 24; the burglary of a Bucas Court dwelling on the same date, and the alleged theft of liquor from a Swallow Street bottle shop in July. He is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on January 7.
