A 44-year-old Woree man is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on May 30 following the seizure of 11 unregistered firearms from his residence last night. Police conducted a search of the Anderson Road unit at about 11pm and allegedly located the weapons as well as well as a small quantity of cannabis. The man was charged with unlicensed possession of weapons; unlawful possession of explosives (ammunition) and possession of a dangerous drug and utensil.
