Police have charged a 32-year-old Kowanyama man with two counts of wilful and unlawful damage following incidents at two Mulgrave Road business premises on Monday night. It is alleged the man approached the premises shortly before 11pm and used a metal pole to smash a number of glass doors and windows. It is further alleged that the man subsequently handed himself in at the Cairns Police Station at about midnight. He is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on April 7.
