Detectives arrested three 19-year-old men yesterday following an investigation into the alleged assault of a 39-year-old man on Monday morning. The alleged incident occurred near the intersection of The Esplanade and Shields Street around 2.30am. The men, from Bentley Park and Earlville, were charged with assault occasioning bodily harm whilst in company and are scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on March 3.
