My main reason for wanting to go abroad with AFS is that I know the program very well and like how it immerses people in different communities all around the world. The ties that I've made with people all around the world are what make me most excited about going abroad. Hopefully I will meet many new people and challenge myself to learn a language as well. I have been saving money for quite some time now, but I do need help from people and businesses to make my trip possible. I have started by doing bottle drives and saving money I have earned. I will start working in the spring to save money and I plan to go to different businesses for help in my fundraising challenges. My overall goal for fundraising is 5,000 dollars. I have already saved about 2,000 dollars and hope to meet my overall goal before I depart.
