Review: Pros: This place will NEVER get crowded. Good prices for what it is. Cruiser trails are nice and wide. Seems to get a lot of sun for a north-facing mountain (maybe it was just the time of year I went there). Lots of money and support coming in from the College so it's not going to be going anywhere for a while, despite its smaller size. Excellent community vibe here. Decent vertical for its size too.
Cons: This ski area has several faults, but the biggest, most glaring one is its unacceptable amount of flat spots and traverses. You seriously either have to hike across or UP from any of the lifts to get to the trails, with very few exceptions. Unfortunately, because of the shape of the mountain, there's really nothing that can be done about it save completely realigning all the lifts and cutting new trails. Not enough terrain diversity to make up for this fault either. If you're a snowboarder, I'd skip this one altogether because it'd become such a hassle after only a few runs.
The Verdict: I hate to write negative things about smaller ski areas. The annoying terrain just takes so much away from the experience that I can't fully recommend this ski area other than for first timers who'd want to utilize the uncrowded beginner area.
