It's quite a trek but worth it. Cabins for rent, public campgrounds, general store and restaurant (not always open). It's 90 miles up a dead-end road - been area since the 30's. Nudity is discrete.
The 'resort' is on one side of the river (headwaters of the San Joaquin). On the other side are several primative tubs (some concrete, some just shallow holes) which are free. One is on the edge of the river so you can and then take a really cold plunge. There is also a very nice public campground right on the river.
It's probably the farthest you can get into the High Sierra Wilderness on a road, so the setting is incredible. It's just off the John Muir Trail and a lot of backpackers use it to pick up supplies. There are several small glacial lakes within short walks.
Don't be fooled by the website. It is much more rustic than they make it seem . . . and I mean that is the best possible way.
