Description: David Morrison focuses his practice in the area of labor and employment and has over 25 years of experience in employment counseling, including supervisory training. He has tried over forty cases and arbitrations and has argued over twenty appeals before state and federal appeals courts. Mr. Morrison is the Chair of the firm’s Labor Department.

Defended discrimination claims of race, gender, age, disability, religion, and national origin in the state and federal as well as claims brought before the EEOC and state human rights agencies
Represented employers in union organizing drives and unfair labor practice proceedings
Obtained state and federal court injunctions for unlawful strike activity
Negotiated labor agreements, arbitrated labor disputes, and litigated to enforce or to set aside arbitration awards

Deliberate Intent Claims
Workers’ compensation coverage generally provides immunity from liability for personal injuries suffered by employees while at work. However, there is a statutory exception to civil liability immunity in the event that an employer is found to have created conditions from which a jury may find that the employer deliberately placed the employee at risk of injury. Mr. Morrison is experienced in representing employers in these “deliberate intent” cases.
