During the afternoon rush, impatient drivers of cars, SUVs, minivans, and even motorcyclists and scooter operators have been know to suddenly pull out of the flow of traffic and proceed to the next intersection while in the bike lane.

They then use this new freedom to accelerate quickly to the next intersection where they make a left from the right turn lane (see my comment at the Towers Crescent/Ring Rd. intersection)
