Goals:
This will be a topic-based FPLC that will focus on improving the quality of e-Learning using WebCT. WebCT tools, chat sessions and email will be used to complete learning assignments/tasks, share resources and experiences, as well as continue discussions between monthly meetings. The Community Goals are as follows:
* To learn to effectively apply a range of current/emerging technologies into online courses and Web-enhanced courses
* To define e-Learning terminology
* To develop e-Learning Guidelines
* To create procedures for self-evaluating e-Learning
* To develop a process for voluntary peer review of e-Learning
* To present at Celebration of Teaching/Learning on April 19, 2007
* To draft an article for potential publication
* To submit a conference presentation proposal
We have the following goals for individual FPLC Members
* To develop and improve skills in integrating technology to diverse pedagogical approaches and use the skills to enhance their teaching
* To share new technology-based teaching ideas and activities with the group for their support and feedback
* To invite students to attend select meetings to share their experiences and provide their perspectives on online learning
* To Incorporate new forms of media into instruction
* To use new WebCT tools for e-Learning
* To present at “Best Practices” workshops
