According to Jack (hotater in SoakNet), the caretaker at Magic Hot Springs, " Murphy's was sold to a guy that planned to bottle water. He gave a big down payment and signed a big note to buy it, THEN found out the water was (as most hot water in Idaho is) a "Non consumptive" resource.
The lawyers have been fighting for several years about it and it looks like it's years from settlement. In the mean time the old (falling down) buildings were bulldozed and the site posted "CLOSED"."
