The purpose of NAFTA was to eliminate the majority of tarrifs on products traded among the United States, Canada, and Mexico for a period of 15 years. the terms where supposedly applied equally to all three countires except in agriculture. Signed in San Antonio, Texas by all three Prisidents by us president George Bush, Mexican President Carlos Salinas de Gortari, and Prime Minister Brian Mulroney on December 17, 1992.
