Narayana Hrudayalaya (NH) was founded by NHS-trained Dr. Shetty in 2001 to provide universal access to the highest quality cardiac care in India. The volume of cardiac procedures means that doctors become highly skilled in their area and equipment purchases realise true economies of scale. NH currently undertakes 12% of all cardiac surgeries in India and will soon open a branch in the Cayman Islands, offering US citizens high quality care at half the price of other US hospitals.
