Mrs. Buckallew's first grade learned how to use heart monitors. They took their resting heart rates in the classroom. On Earth Day we walk a mile to the nature trails at McNary Dam. On the way back they have to hike up a good size hill. At the top they took their heart rate. They were able to compare and contrast their two heart rate readings.
